This is an exciting post which will be supported by BBC Live Events and Hewlett Packard. Along with advising and
assisting in the development of various creative and technological developments for Big Screens (LED, LCD, Indoor, Outdoor), you will be expected to help in establishing and maintaining links across the University, BBC, Hewlett Packard and other parties. Working as a part of a team, you will generate and test interactive solutions for Big Screen technology.

You will be a critical part of a new team that forms the technical and creative know-how of Sandbox in the delivery of exciting and practical interactive solutions. Targeted media may vary from web, mobile, massive big screens, gallery or DVD. Working as part of a team or as an individual, you will advise on, reuse, adapt or create from scratch, innovative digital content frameworks, total interactive solutions or games in order to maximize the end users’ experience. With a passion for technology and a clear, practical and critical appreciation
of the current and future technological landscape, you will love and have the ability to solve technical problems.
You will also be fluent in a number of programming or scripting languages.
Research Assistant
£16,979 – £19,035, Ref: 267D-22-06
1 year limited term contract
You will assist in the day to day operation and development of the Sandbox research and creative workspace by providing support and assisting in the development of new solutions for digital content applications and delivery
mechanisms. It is important that you have experience of working and communicating with groups, preferably in an academic context both as a researcher and in an administration capacity.
